Selection of sewage pump

The selection of sewage pumps needs to consider the following aspects:
1. Sewage properties: It is necessary to select corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant pumps and materials based on the physicochemical characteristics of the sewage, such as pH value, hardness, sand content, and corrosiveness. Generally speaking, centrifugal pumps are suitable for sewage transportation.
2. Delivery flow and head: Select pump types that match the flow and head specifications based on actual flow requirements and pipeline layout. Excessive traffic can lead to overload, while low traffic can affect usage effectiveness.
3. Speed: The selection of speed is mainly based on the actual head and pipeline system. Excessive rotational speed can increase system energy consumption and wear. Select the appropriate speed range based on the properties of the conveying medium.
4. Drive mode: Common drive modes include direct motor drive, belt drive, acoustic drive, etc. Direct motor drive has a large volume but high efficiency, while belt drive and acoustic drive have a small volume but high cost.
5. Material selection and structure: corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel, cast iron, bronze, etc. are used based on the corrosiveness of the medium. The sealing parts shall be made of corrosion-resistant materials such as hard alloy and fluororubber. The shaft seal adopts mechanical seal or enveloping seal, and the ecological impeller adopts open or semi open type, etc.
6. Flow regulation: Provide manual regulating valves or automatic flow control devices to adapt to flow changes under different working conditions and ensure stable operation.
7. Anti blocking equipment: Provide sewage damage devices or sand discharge devices to prevent blockage during transportation.
8. Maintenance considerations: The selection of pumps should consider the difficulty of daily management and maintenance. The maintenance of mechanical seal pumps is relatively convenient, while the maintenance of encapsulated seal pumps is relatively complex.
In summary, the selection of sewage pumps requires comprehensive consideration of various factors based on the nature of sewage and transportation conditions, and the selection of pumps and related equipment with reasonable structure and stable and reliable performance to meet usage requirements and facilitate maintenance and management.
